Chiang Mai Elephant Legend

There is no better place to become friends with an elephant than at Chiang Mai Elephant Legend! During the one-day tour of this fantastic sanctuary, you can share a special time with these beautiful animals by feeding them, bathing them, and playing with them!

A total of seven elephants are free to roam as they please within the sanctuary and are only waiting for three things: bananas, cuddles, and a refreshing bath! Learn about the history of the elephants, how they got rescued from riding camps and the illegal logging industry. Our staff speaks English and will answer all the questions that you have.

In the afternoon we will also visit a waterfall in the jungle where we can swim and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Children 4 to 7 years of age pay only 1100 Baht for the entrance fee. Children 1 - 3 years of age can join the trip for free.

Itinerary & Practicalities

Price: 2200 THB

  • Pick up from your hotel between 8:00 – 8:30 AM

  • Drive approximately 1.5 hours to Chiang Mai Elephant Legend

  • Stop at the local market to get supplies for the day

  • Meet the elephants and learn how to prepare vitamin balls

  • Feed the elephants and take time to cuddle them

  • Enjoy a Thai Lunch

  • Have a mud spa with the elephants

  • Share a bath with them

  • Take a natural shower at the waterfall in the jungle

  • Say goodbye to your new friends

  • Drive back to Chiang Mai

  • Return to your hotel around 4:30 PM

Included in the price: Transportation, entrance fees, an English-speaking guide, lunch, drinking water, food for the elephants, and insurance.

What to bring: Swimming gear, towel, flip flops, sunscreen, and mosquito spray.
